Commonwealth Kitchen: Ready to Launch Program
Content Capture & Storytelling | Fall 2025

Overview
Commonwealth Kitchen is a Boston-based nonprofit food business incubator that supports diverse, women-owned, and immigrant-owned culinary startups. Their Ready to Launch program helps emerging entrepreneurs refine product positioning, packaging, and go-to-market strategies as they prepare to enter retail.

I was brought in to capture visual content that communicates the heart of this program: the entrepreneurs, their products, and the community behind them.

Role & Scope
My role:
Content Producer
Working with Commonwealth Kitchen has been part of my journey for a while — from pop-ups and culinary partnerships through my work at The Catered Affair to now partnering directly with their team and founders.

This project was a full-circle moment.
I’ve always admired CWK for how they:

  • Invest in local food entrepreneurs

  • Build economic access from the ground up

  • Lead with community, collaboration, and culture

Supporting Ready to Launch meant helping founders see themselves as the brands they are becoming: confident and ready for shelves.

Approach

I approached the visual narrative through three core themes:

  1. Process — Hands-on sharing their product with the community

  2. People — The founders behind the flavors

  3. Presence — The confidence of owning your brand story for their final pitch

Not staged. Not over-styled.
Just real people building something meaningful.

Reflection

Food, to me, is community infrastructure.

This was more than a content project, to support the people who build that infrastructure felt like contributing to an ecosystem I care deeply about.
